My Mission

My mission is to educate and inform the Texas State faithful on their beloved Bobcats and follow the journey of their rising athletics program. To put it lightly, Texas State sports have been disappointing in recent history. That hasn’t stopped the Bobcat fanbase from supporting their teams throughout the years. Although I’ve been one of those fans with unwavering support, I sure am excited to see all the national attention the university has been receiving in the past couple of years. Bobcat Rundown will be following this exciting journey and will be your new source for everything Bobcats. If you’re not on the Texas State train yet, I would suggest hopping on quickly. The train is departing and it’s on a fast track to success.

Although that’s my main mission, I do have other goals I’ve set for this blog that I’m looking forward to. I was never an All-star student growing up, but writing was the one thing in school that I excelled in and enjoyed. I’ve decided to choose faith over fear and chase this passion, combining it with my love of sports and the university I attended. I’m ecstatic to take this leap of faith and take advantage of the opportunity to grow personally as well as professionally. I plan on building an extensive portfolio while growing my knowledge in the journalism and sports world. I’m confident that I can create content that fellow Bobcats and the casual sports fan will enjoy. If I’m wrong, it will be a learning experience at the very least.

I truly believe that this is a step along the way of my career path, and I can’t wait to watch it unfold. However it turns out, I know I’ll have fun doing it and will learn a lot along the way. If it reaches anyone’s eyes other than mine, it will be a win. Anyone who supports my journey is appreciated more than words can express. Go Cats.
